SJMF: My Picks – Dream Ninja Turtles Movie Crossovers

My picks for the battles fought in this episode of Screen Junkies’ Movie Fights!

ROUND 1 – Which director is best equipped to step in and take over the X-Men franchise?

Doug Liman should do X-Men (with Gambit stand alone scrapped).

JJ Abrams is always a good shout.

ROUND 2 – What franchise should cross over with the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” in an upcoming movie?

GI Joe. I’ve only seen the trailers of the GI movies but they seem like they fit together with the Turtles latest incarnation.

Men in Black makes more sense to crossover with the heroes in a half shell than the Jump Street lads.

Or just Ted

ROUND 3 – What is the Best Movie Mockumentary?

“Mockumentary or mock documentary is a genre of film and television, a parody presented as a documentary recording real life.”Wikipedia (list here)

District 9

ROUND 4 – Pitch us a better group of inanimate objects (or things) for Pixar to make a movie about?

Technology, specifically phones. It could be a real eye opener for kids, learning about privacy, safety and other benefits and disadvantages of modern communications. Throw a few Nokia and VR jokes and you’ve got a Pixar film!

ROUND 5 – What classic Disney film – live action or animated – most deserves a sequel

Wreck-It Ralph does deserve a sequel but is not a ‘classic’. Also,

I want to see Earth being rebuilt in Wall-E 2. The most obvious themes would be the difference between Wall-E, Eve and the humans i.e. emotions.
