A Review of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015)

“Not very good at this whole subtlety thing, are you?”

From the team that gave us RDJ’s Sherlock Holmes, comes another hugely fun action comedy period piece.

The best American and top KGB agents must team up to prevent nuclear war.

This is my favourite Henry Cavill role and Armie Hammer makes a convincing uptight Russian. Their chemistry, and with Vikander too makes the trio a delight to watch. The best frenemies rivalry is the most entertaining element.

Guy Ritchie’s direction leaves no second to waste; quick cuts mean every frame is about the comedy, punch or sleight of hand.

The soundtrack is energetic and the cinematography provides vibrant shots and beautiful architecture.

This is a perfectly great movie for fans of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlocks and or the show Archer. Also great for fans of spy films, and the general action comedy lark!

Overall Rating: 8.6/10
