“Tell me. Do you bleed?”

Not as bad as the critics will have you think but not as good as you would hope, the long term feelings toward Dawn of Justice will be divisive, like Iron Man 3 or DC’s own Man of Steel.

“This isn’t a mud hole. It’s an operating table. And I’m the surgeon.”

This pair of films and the original Frank Miller comics are the inspiration behind Dawn of Justice.

We start Part 1 with an aged Bruce Wayne who hasn’t donned the cloak in near 10 years. Gordon is on the verge of retirement and crime is on its way up. A new gang called the mutants terrorise Gotham and its citizens.

All-Star Superman (2011)

An interesting premise; Lex Luthor takes advantage of a weakened and gradually dying Superman. The film feels like a lot of short stories weaved together, as if reading a comic book each week that concludes, but also advances an overarching storyline. The plot is solid but the execution is a little weak. All-Star Superman is great for fans of the character and lore, and also features a memorable ending. I’d like to see this general story transposed onto the big screen at some point.

Overall Rating: 6.7/10

Gotham Knight (2008)

Gotham Knight is an artistic experiment with Batman. There are six shorts that’re around 12 minutes each. They all have different art styles and visual interpretations of Bruce Wayne and his darker alter-ego. A selling point to some is the presence of an anime art style. The shorts don’t have very deep stories, by nature of being shorts- there are some links between them, however.

Overall Rating 7/10

Forza Horizon 4 – An Interesting Idea

Set in Dubai and or Abu Dhabi!

The Horizon series seems to be a global event, moving locations each time. What better place for the third instalment than one which has a new terrain type (sand), beautiful scenery and an abundance of exotic cars?

That looks like something that could easily be taken in the photo mode.

Far Cry: Syria – An Interesting Idea

Here’s my pitch for the next instalment of the Far Cry franchise:

Far Cry: Syria. The game takes place in modern times in the war torn country. Without making this post too political, the “good” forces are joined by a western soldier- the player character- who is ex special forces of some kind or other (SAS or Seals depending on nationality)
